Role Purpose

As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a key role in the operations team, ensuring that shipments are handled, processed, and dispatched correctly and on schedule. You’ll support loading/unloading, segregation of shipments, scanning and distribution of goods as well as help maintain an organised, safe warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Team in loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments. This includes moving pallets, cartons, securing loads, and transferring goods to/from trucks.
• Manage segregation of shipments: upon receipt, you will sort and categorise goods based on destination, size, product type, priority, etc.
• Handle distribution and scanning of shipments: utilise scanner devices and warehouse management system (WMS) to record receipt, location, movement, and dispatch of goods. This includes updating data, verifying accuracy and integrity of scans.
• Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or delivery notes, check for damages, discrepancies, and report accordingly.
• Pick, pack and prepare goods for dispatch: ensure correct items and quantities are loaded, labelled appropriately and ready for shipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy: assist in cycle counts, stock counts, and ensure stock is stored and recorded accurately.
• Keep the warehouse environment organised, clean and safe: adhere to health & safety standards, company procedures, and maintain clear aisles, safe stacking, correct signage and sequence.
• Coordinate with colleagues in operations, inbound, outbound and quality assurance teams to meet daily targets/service levels.
• Follow workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as defined by management; suggest improvements where possible.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks to support on-time delivery and shipment schedules.
  
  

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Previous experience in warehouse logistics, distribution centre or similar environment is preferred (minimum 1-2 years).
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck) and willingness to train on forklift use if required.
• Familiarity with scanning devices and knowledge of basic warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy: in scanning, sorting, recording and handling inventory.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Team-oriented mindset, ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards: following rules, wearing PPE, ensuring safe stacking and handling of goods.
