Create technical documents, graphics, and video for internal and external distribution. This role reports to the Regional Design Engineer.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work with the Engineering group to create technical documents for internal and external distribution with moderate support and supervision
- Create basic videos, presentations, and training documents for various departments
- Create technical graphics for tool assembly, function, and operation
- Support other Technical Writers as required to complete all product documents
- Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program
- Create training manual for business ERP processes
- Create ‘How to Documentation’ for business ERP processes
- Complete current quality documentation updates
Experience And Skills
- 1-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Oil and Gas Industry experience an asset
- Mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and multi-media software an asset
- Degree or diploma (or related equivalent Technical Writing experience) in any of the following: Communications, Engineering, or Science
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and use of a computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse
- Subject to post-incident and reasonable-cause drug & alcohol testing
