A Snapshot of Your Day
Your day involves acting as a Test Engineer, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality testing and commissioning objectives. You support the planning and execution of tests for compressors and associated systems, preparing and commissioning test runs. Throughout the day, you set up evaluation software, address test-related questions, and present results to customers. You also support people evaluation, training, and development, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

How You’ll Make An Impact
- Act as a Test Engineer within an organization focused on the assembly, packaging, and testing of compressors and gas turbines for the oil & gas, petrochemical, and power generation industries.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional matrix organization to execute specific test and commissioning objectives, ensuring the highest quality standards are met on time.
- Support personnel evaluation, training, and development while promoting a culture of teamwork, excellence, and inclusiveness across the organization.
- Assist in planning and executing workshop and site tests for compressors, drivers, and associated systems, including preparation, commissioning, and execution of compressor test runs with corresponding drivers.
- Set up existing evaluation software for specific tests and serve as a point of contact for order and project management regarding test-related questions and issues, while defining requirements for test equipment and developing new testing concepts.
- Act as the primary contact for customer representatives during tests, addressing all test-related topics and questions, presenting test results internally and to customers, and supporting bid activities for new applications requiring tailored testing approaches.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the field, complemented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Expertise in turbo machinery, including compressor design, commissioning, and operation of compression applications, as well as applied thermodynamics and rotor dynamics.
- Proficient in measurement and control technology, test instrumentation, and possess a basic understanding of electric drives, gas turbines, and steam turbines.
- Confident in using MS Office and SAP, with fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic and other languages is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in an international team environment, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and a willingness to travel worldwide.
- Strong leadership abilities with a clear and systematic approach to time and test management, capable of understanding and interpreting complex technical, contractual, and organizational problems while maintaining composure under pressure and focusing on quality.
