Job Description

As Technical Project Director, you are responsible for overseeing and leading the successful delivery of large-scale, complex spatial planning and master planning projects. You will manage all aspects of project execution, from project planning and budgeting to execution and client delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, to scope, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of multiple large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business goals.
  • Oversee multi-disciplinary technical and design teams, including subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners to ensure high levels of satisfaction and project success.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and escalation for clients on projects
  • Ensure project processes and deliverables meet HSEQ and technical compliance standards and requirements
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Technically contribute to, review and approve project deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations and specifications.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, managing issues proactively and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management, stakeholders, and clients, managing expectations and ensuring transparency.
  • Mentor and develop project management team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

  • Spoken and written Arabic language skills
  • Understanding of transport, infrastructure, environmental, and economic discipline areas given the cross-disciplinary nature of spatial planning projects.
  • Experience in undertaking quality assurance processes and major project reviews, to ensure outputs meet client expectations and WSP quality requirements
  • Understanding and evidence of application of data-driven analytical processes, tools and software
  • Skilled in preparing technical and commercial proposals
