What We Need
Oivan is looking for a Technical Product Owner with at least five years of experience in managing local and or international software IT projects to lead one of our largest local software development project. As an experienced Technical Product Owner with a background in Agile Scrum methodologies, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions. Your role encompasses project planning, execution, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
You will be based on-site at our customer’s premises in Riyadh, KSA.
This role requires fluent Arabic as well as English language skills.
We also appreciate your technical skills, especially if you are familiar with Golang framework.

What You'll Do

- Collaborate with customers (and internal stakeholders) to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Ensure that the technical direction aligns with the overall business needs.
- Identify and analyze technical risks and challenges that could impact the delivery of the product, high accessibility and jeopardize future proof.
- Work closely with the Oivan development team and external technology partners to ensure they understand the technical requirements and constraints of the product.
- Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making, ensuring that the team is aligned with the technical approach
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning sessions as needed.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
- Translate complex technical concepts into language that is accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure that the technical implementation meets the defined acceptance criteria and quality standards.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and help resolve any issues that arise.
- Validate that the product’s technical aspects align with the broader business objectives and customer needs.
- Oversee the deployment process, ensuring smooth and successful releases
- Allocate resources effectively, considering team members' skills and project requirements.
- Work closely with HR and project stakeholders to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
- Manage and optimize resource utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
What You Have
A Technical Product Owner (TPO) is a specialized role that bridges the gap between technical teams and business owners, mainly our clients business analysts. The TPO should ensure alignment of service delivery with business needs from both technical and business perspectives.
As a technical project manager, we prefer that you have:
- 5+ years of technical project management experience in the software development industry, IT service management or something similar. We encourage you to apply if you have less “years” of experience, the number of years is to give an average benchmark.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to continuously acquire new competencies and find creative solutions in response to changing priorities and needs.
- We want you to be organized in leading a project and within a professional setting to deliver high-quality customer experience.
- Strong command in Arabic and English in writing and speaking.
- Familiarity with Jira (Confluence) for activity tracking, task-setting, dashboards, burndown, and similar tools is preferred.
- Knowledge with Ruby or other languages or frameworks is an asset.
- PMP or an equivalent Agile certification (PSM 1,2) certification would be considered an asset.
