Superintendent, Finishing Maintenance

Role Summery:

The Superintendent, Finishing Line is responsible for effectively lead the Team to ensure reliable maintenance. This includes predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance services to ensure the plant machinery and equipment is in a state of operational readiness and in proper working condition for reliable business continuity.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates & monitors the Maintenance activities in Finishing Line, Quality lines and Local Workshop.

2. Ensure capture and analysis of maintenance data and equipment work histories to provide recommendations to Maintenance Supervisors.

3. Lead the monthly review of equipment “bad actors” creating action plans for increasing reliability and monitoring performance versus plans.

4. Coordinates the activities and relationships between the Corrective and Preventive teams in his area of responsibility and the integration between the other areas of Maintenance Management in order to optimize and maximize all resources and spare parts.

5. Integrate all maintenance activities towards maximizing equipment availability for production.

6. Responding as necessary to directly manage and execute against priority jobs

7. Develops and implements a package of practices to undertake scheduled, preventive, repair, routine and predictive maintenance, REX at plant.

8. Improve /modify equipment’s parts having repetitive failure in consultation with Maintenance Manager.

9. Administers the human resources, the spare parts and the materials to integrate in the budget allocated for mechanical activity.

10. Coordinates in development of weekly and daily work schedules.

11. Ensures and coordinates that all Supervisors lead the tool-box safety meetings and work permit process on a daily basis.

12. Guaranteeing the schedule and participating in weekly walkthrough, ensuring that observations are carried out on schedule (not overdue).

13. Lead and coordinate the execution and quality of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.

14. Monitor existing PM/PdM programs, historical trends and KPI data for early identification and resolution of reliability issues

15. To ensure effective communication of mission, vision, strategy, policies and processes to promote a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and people empowerment within his responsible area.

16. To effectively promote continual improvement initiatives in his responsible area that will enable to meet customer requirements and expectations and applicable legal requirements.

17. To properly provide subordinates with the required resources, training and authority to act with empowerment, and accountability.

18. To effectively develop and properly maintain quality system documents and ensuring related training requirements and necessary competence are adhered.

19. To support effectively the conduct of internal/external audits and management of audit results and follow ups.

20. Addressing Risk and Opportunity for the Continual Improvement of Company HSE Performance.

21. Identifying hazards and mitigating the Risk that impact HSE Performance.

22. Coordinate with planning to Receive work schedules and work packages. Review work package details and seek clarification as required.

23. SAP plant maintenance module, spare parts management, inventory control, ISO9000 & ISO14000

24. Housekeeping of respective work area.

25. Provide training and development to co-workers and help maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices and Job Safe Practices to ensure the transfer of knowledge to others.

26. Assess availability of required resources at time of execution, communicates deficiencies and leads the effort to resolve resource difficulties identified during execution.

27. Attend periodical shutdown scheduling meetings as required

Qualification and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronics/Automation/Mechanical Engineering or any related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Electrical/Electronics/Automation and Mechanical machines in an industrial maintenance, with proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of Mechanical and Hydraulic systems.
• Experience in oil and gas, seamless pipe mill or steel plant or such heavy engineering departments.

Skills:

• Fulfil the responsibilities as identified in the Performance Management Process, Quality Management System and Health & Safety Program
• Excellent technical knowledge of operation and maintenance of CNC threading machines
• Ability to coordinate leads a team of cross functional specialists and technicians.
• Deep knowledge of process requirements, maintenance practices, repair planning & execution, Spares procurement and Management.
• Good knowledge of latest trends in technical and management practices in global and continuous process industries.
• Heavy duty finishing lines equipment’s Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Hydraulic, Lubrication and Pneumatic system.
• Ability to Read and understand Mechanical drawings and schematics of Hydraulics and Pneumatics for efficient troubleshooting.
