Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Wet Utilities Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to review and evaluate consultant submittals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements for effective hydrological and utility system design within the EPMO framework.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for technical review reports as well as engineering services issued by the department.
- Attend coordination meetings with the client, design consultants, and contractors.
- Review designs, calculations, and hydraulic models for potable water, fire-fighting systems, wastewater, and irrigation networks.
- Review hydrological studies and project protection works against flood risks, selecting the most suitable engineering solutions for site protection, and reviewing designs related to flood protection structures.
- Review designs for stormwater drainage networks, hydraulic calculations, and necessary details.
- Participate in the preparation of performance reports for design firms.
- Participate in the knowledge transfer program related to the department.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to department employees and ensure coordination among them.
- Monitor the implementation of daily plans related to the responsibilities and tasks of the department.
- Oversee the inputs, outputs, and schedule of the department, and submit the necessary reports to the department manager.
- Follow up on the application of an engineering deliverables management system based on the earned value methodology, in coordination with section heads and support departments within the Project Management Office.
- Prepare necessary reports related to the engineering department.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to department employees and ensure coordination among them.
- Responsible for the inputs, outputs, and schedule of the department.
- Responsible for the development of department processes, operations, and templates.
- Implement processes, operations, and templates specifically for the department’s inputs and outputs.
- Must have a background in design for wet utilities with a minimum of 13 years of experience, particularly in mega projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field
- 17+ years of professional experience in hydrology, water resources engineering, and wet utilities management.
- Proven expertise in reviewing consultant submittals and providing technical feedback within large-scale infrastructure or EPMO projects.
- Exceptional ability to work well with others
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Extensive knowledge of stormwater management systems, hydrological modeling, and wet utility design, including sewerage and potable water systems.
- Arabic speaker is a must.
