Job Description

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Utilities Engineer to join our dynamic PMCM team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the planning, design, and implementation of utility infrastructure projects. This position requires a deep understanding of utility systems, including water, wastewater, stormwater and electrical systems etc.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the design and engineering of utility infrastructure projects concept to completion.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations.
• Develop or review detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical, and mechanical engineers.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with Clients, Stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project success.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews.
• Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
  
  
  

What Requirements You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in utility engineering
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Project management experience is highly desirable
