We are seeking a Senior Specialist in Strategic Procurement to play a critical role in the procurement operations for various categories necessary for the success of this expansive project.
The Senior Specialist will be responsible for crafting and executing procurement strategies that align with the overall objectives of Qiddiya. This position involves collaborating closely with diverse teams to ensure effective sourcing, supplier management, and optimization of procurement processes. You will support cross-functional engagements, leveraging your expertise to enhance supplier performance and drive cost efficiencies.
Main Responsibilities:
The Senior Specialist will be responsible for crafting and executing procurement strategies that align with the overall objectives of Qiddiya. This position involves collaborating closely with diverse teams to ensure effective sourcing, supplier management, and optimization of procurement processes. You will support cross-functional engagements, leveraging your expertise to enhance supplier performance and drive cost efficiencies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain reliability
- Analyze market trends to identify sourcing opportunities and leverage negotiation strategies for optimal outcomes
- Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration, maintain performance metrics, and ensure compliance with procurement standards
- Support operational procurement needs by providing insights and tracking category performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Engage with stakeholders across various business units to effectively communicate procurement strategies and ensure alignment with project goals
- Drive localization efforts in procurement activities to support local economic growth in accordance with government regulations
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic procurement or category management, preferably in large-scale projects in construction or real estate
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field; Master's degree is a plus
- Relevant certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP are preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing procurement categories such as construction materials and services, along with strong contract negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable
