Senior Manager - Software Engineering (CORS 218)

Qiddiya Investment Company is on the forefront of transforming entertainment and leisure in Saudi Arabia, and we are looking for a Senior Manager - Software Engineering to lead our talented team of engineers. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative software solutions that enhance the customer experience and contribute to overall business success.

This position demands a strong technical background combined with excellent leadership skills to guide and mentor the engineering team, drive best practices, and ensure high-quality software engineering across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with product, design, and data leads to deeply understand customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints, and translate them into actionable engineering strategy
• Inspire and empower distributed engineering teams (primarily from vendor partners) to self-organize, innovate, and deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions
• Guide engineering efforts from discovery through delivery, with a focus on lean delivery, continuous improvement, and measurable value
• Promote engineering excellence through mentoring, coaching, and capability building—fostering ownership, autonomy, and a high-performance culture even in a remote setup
• Set and uphold high standards in architecture, code quality, system resiliency, security, and operational readiness
• Support the adoption of agile and DevOps practices that enable continuous delivery of value
• Serve as a technical leader within a specific product domain, helping define roadmaps and architectural direction
• Act as a bridge between internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring alignment, transparency, and accountability
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in technical leadership and team management roles
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional, empowered, and remote teams—ideally in a vendor-managed environment
• Strong product sense with the ability to prioritize engineering efforts based on customer impact
• Deep experience with distributed systems architecture (e.g., microservices, event-driven systems, RESTful APIs)
• Familiarity with the full mobile and web development lifecycle, including backend and frontend architecture
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with cloud platforms—preferably GCP
