Senior Manager, Audit Planning, Quality, and Monitoring (758)

Job Purpose

Lead the development and implementation of audit planning, quality assurance, and performance monitoring frameworks for the Internal Audit function. This role ensures audit activities are risk-based, aligned with strategic objectives, and executed in compliance with professional standards. The incumbent also oversees continuous improvement efforts and ensures audit effectiveness through robust performance metrics and quality controls.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Planning & Quality Assurance

• Lead the development of the annual and multi-year risk-based audit plans using data analytics, risk assessment frameworks, and stakeholder inputs.
• Establish and maintain an internal audit quality assurance and improvement program in line with IIA standards.
• Oversee internal and external quality assessments and implement action plans to close any identified gaps.
  
  

Performance Monitoring

• Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor the performance and productivity of the internal audit function.
• Track audit cycle timelines, resource utilization, and implementation of recommendations.
• Provide regular performance and quality reports to executive leadership and the Audit Committee.
  
  

Policy and Methodology

• Maintain and update internal audit policies, methodologies, and tools to align with leading practices.
• Ensure audit processes are standardized, automated where possible, and consistently applied across all audits.
  
  

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of auditors focused on planning and quality.
• Collaborate with other audit managers to ensure audit plans are comprehensive and aligned with organizational priorities.
• Serve as a liaison for external auditors and regulators on matters related to planning and quality.
