Roads/ Civil Engineer

Note:

• Infrastructure project (Based in Jeddah)
• Start date: ASAP - 1 month
• Need to be based in Saudi Arabia already
• Any nationality

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and oversee the construction and maintenance of roads, highways, and related infrastructure, ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental assessments to determine the feasibility and requirements of proposed road projects.
• Develop detailed engineering plans, drawings, and specifications, utilizing CAD software and other relevant tools to ensure accurate and precise design documentation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including surveyors, construction contractors, and government agencies, to ensure effective project execution and timely completion of deliverables.
• Monitor construction progress, conduct regular site inspections, and address any design or structural issues that may arise during the construction phase.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and clients to provide regular project updates, address concerns, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks and ensure the safety and integrity of road infrastructure.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, project evaluations, and post-construction analyses, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and best practices in road engineering.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
• Proven work experience of at least 10 years in road engineering, with a strong track record of successful project management and execution.
• In-depth knowledge of road engineering principles, construction methodologies, and relevant design codes and standards applicable to road construction and maintenance projects.
• Proficiency in using CAD software, civil engineering design tools, and other engineering software for design and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex engineering data and provide innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders
• Construction management of road and civil works projects. It is preferable to be fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
