The project:
This opportunity is to be involved in a major mixed-use development, in Riyadh. The programme consists of over 200 projects including cultural and heritage assets, F&B, retail and hotels, commercial buildings, and educational facilitiesYou’ll be responsible for:
- Oversee all aspects of cost and commercial management, including planning, benchmarking, reporting, cashflow, procurement, contracts, and claims
- Develop and enhance project cost control databases for accurate cost tracking
- Establish project control budgets aligned with benchmarks
- Working with Portfolio Management Information System (PMIS) developers to create dashboards and reports in PowerBI
- Tracking and controlling project accruals and commitments against set budget constraints
- Monitor project accruals, commitments, and forecast estimates to completion (ETC/EAC)
- Track contingency, risk exposure, change control, and key project trends
- Manage senior stakeholders (including c-suite and executive director level) to ensure the successful delivery of the Cost & Commercial function
- Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and reports, including programme cost management systems and dashboards
- Oversee quality assurance for all cost and commercial information
- Manage and support Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
- Coordinate commercial processes with other functional leads and ensure contractual deliverables are met
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Coordinate with PMO functions around contractual deliverables, centralise the commercial effort to ensure the contractual commitments are delivered
- Engage effectively across all levels of stakeholders, including contractors, PMCs and Client teams
You’ll need to have:
- Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/ programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval
- With over 10 years of relevant experience and a pertinent degree, you are committed to personal development and either hold a chartered status or are working towards a comparable professional qualification
- It is essential for candidates to possess outstanding data management abilities, especially in Microsoft Excel. This encompasses the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and a solid understanding of PowerBI including cost reporting tools, which are highly desirable skills
- Additionally, having experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) is crucial. Our client has specific criteria, and in-country experience is strongly preferred to effectively address these requirements
- You demonstrate excellent presentation and meeting management capabilities, including the ability to present to the client’s C-Suite and CEO, delivering critical insights and assisting the client in framing and making decisions
- You are digitally proficient, capable of fostering enduring client relationships, and providing support to dynamic, motivated teams. You will possess a background in construction or project management and have a strong desire to advance your career while taking advantage of the opportunities that Mace presents
