Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and engaging Performance Audit Trainer/Consultant to lead workshops, design training programs, and consult with clients on maturity assessment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver customized training programs on performance audit frameworks, tools, and techniques.
• Facilitate interactive workshops for auditors, public sector professionals, and internal audit teams.
• Guide organizations in implementing or enhancing their performance audit practices.
• Develop course materials, case studies, practical exercises, and assessment tools.
• Provide expert advice on performance audit planning, execution, and reporting.
• Assess and report on training outcomes and transformation impact.
• Stay current with international standards and guidelines (e.g., ISSAI, INTOSAI).
• Evaluate training effectiveness and provide reports and recommendations for improvements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD degree in Accounting, Auditing, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance auditing or public sector auditing.
• Previous experience as a trainer or facilitator in audit-related topics.
• Strong understanding of performance audit principles, criteria, and reporting practices.
• Familiarity with international auditing standards (e.g., ISSAI, INTOSAI guidelines).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications such as CIA, CGAP, CISA, or relevant public sector audit qualifications are an asset.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with capacity-building projects or institutional reform initiatives.
• Ability to adapt content to different audiences and sectors.
• Proven consulting experience with public institutions or supreme audit institutions (SAIs).
