About The Role
Due to the growth of our business, DNV Maritime Area Middle East & Africa is looking for a candidate with approximately 3-5 years of experience in the offshore or marine industry to join our team of surveyors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The position offers the candidate a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing team in a transforming country with numerous exciting opportunities both within the conventional offshore business and in ocean space projects, including renewables and offshore tourism.

About The Role

As a DNV Surveyor, you will mainly be carrying out:
- Surveys onboard mobile offshore units as well as ships in operation at shipyards and offshore locations.
- Travel and offshore work should be expected as well as attending vessels in Bahrain.
- Ensure that the work or duties performed are in accordance with the Rules, Regulations, Instructions, Guidelines and quality requirements of the organization and the instructions of the line management.
- Maintain the confidentiality of clients' business, processes, designs, developments, and documentation always.
- When applicable, to supervise the work of third parties and ensure that it is carried out as above and in an efficient and economic cost-saving manner.
- Attend training courses and qualification training abroad as per global training plans.
- Exhibit customer-oriented focus through promoting DNV onboard or on-site, and by acting as a technical resource for customer questions.
- To support or work as Key Account Managers (KAM) handling Business development with defined customers if required.

About You
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering from a Technical University or Relevant qualifications from a marine or nautical institution, and relevant sea-going experience as a certified ship officer.
- Approximately 3- 5 years of offshore experience with Jack-up rigs and/or marine industry experience.
- Mobile offshore experience is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven and highly engaged professional.
- Quick learner and data smart and problem-solving attitude.
- Thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Analytical, structured and systematic.
- Fluent in English & Arabic (preferred).
- Availability to travel.
- Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job: Climbing pilot ladders & in/out of tanks and confined spaces; crew boat launches in various local climate condition.
