Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Testing Lab Manager to oversee the operations of our testing laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory management, with expertise in testing protocols and standards. This role involves leading a team of technicians and scientists to ensure accurate and timely testing services, while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the testing lab, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow management.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure high-quality testing and safety standards.
- Oversee the planning and execution of tests, ensuring that all tests are performed accurately and efficiently.
- Train and mentor laboratory staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and quality assurance initiatives.
- Maintain and optimize laboratory equipment and ensure all instruments are calibrated and in good working condition.
- Monitor and analyze testing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on testing outcomes and laboratory performance to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methods, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis software.
