Job Role
A Lubricant Service Expert Experienced lubrication systems specialist serving as the technical focal point for assessment, optimization, and servicing of complex lubrication systems across heavy industries such as mining, cement, and steel.
To serve as the first-line technical advisor and service expert for direct accounts, industrial customers, and the sales team, providing strategic guidance on the application and optimization of the JOSLOC Product portfolio. The role focuses on leveraging the technical strengths of Shell products and value-added services to deliver measurable commercial benefits, resolve lubrication-related challenges, and enhance overall equipment performance across industries such as mining, cement, steel, and other heavy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
• Act in accordance with JOSLOC Principles, Policies, Procedures, Code of Conduct, and all applicable company rules.
• Align technical support strategies with business goals to maximize customer value and support growth initiatives.
Day-to-Day Operations
• Balance technical requirements with commercial pressures to ensure optimal customer solutions.
• Work with a specialized product portfolio to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Conduct regular site assessments to identify customer needs and improvement opportunities.
• Build trust and credibility with customers through value-driven projects and continuous engagement.
• Commit to personal development by learning internally (PAS, Senior Advisors, EC tools) and sharing knowledge externally.
• Optimize customer lubrication practices and recommend enhanced solutions for improved equipment reliability and performance.
• Provide front-line technical support to customers and sales teams, resolving ~80% of technical inquiries.
• Recommend appropriate Shell products for various applications (vehicles, machinery, equipment), including equivalents for competitor products.
• Collaborate with local or global OEMs (under guidance from Line of Business OEM owners) to support product approvals.
• Drive the development and delivery of the LubeExpert Customer Value Proposition (CVP) across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Monitor and manage the LubeExpert service offering, ensuring consistent delivery and value creation.
• Promote the transfer of best practices and build a strong team of equipment specialists based on internal expertise.
• Support local Marketing Specialists to strengthen Shell’s Technology Intimacy image in the market.
• Assist Account Managers with asset management strategies and lubrication-related initiatives.
• Identify and drive up-selling and cross-selling opportunities through:
• Customized training packages for Gold/Platinum customers
• Refer complex issues to Senior Lubricants Technical Advisors or the PAS network, ensuring resolution and local follow-up with customers.
Reporting
• Maintain accurate and timely assessment and reporting to maintain customer, satisfaction highlighting challenges.
• Implement and monitor the solution implemented and record the value delivered.
HSSE
• Provide HSSE, Occupational Health, safety and product disposal advice to customers and front line sales, in line with local legislation requirements. Actively keep up to date with changes in legislation

Education & Training
• Degree/Diploma/National Certification (e.g. BSc, BEng) - engineering mechanical or chemistry or comparable technical background skills
• Preferably have Shell Lube Expert Training.
• Preferably have Machinery Lubrication Analysis Level II
Experience & Qualification
• 7 to 8 years’ experience in a technical (lubricants & applications) environment depending on job level
• Good English/ Urdu skill level
• Experience in a customer facing role (CSO or front-line sales) beneficial
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Mastery in Shell Existing Portfolio.
• Have engineering knowledge in industry or transport, or related discipline
