WSP are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join our team for an airport construction supervision project. As an Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with electrical codes, standards, and specifications during the construction and installation of electrical systems at the airport. Your expertise in electrical inspections, quality control, and safety protocols will play a critical role in delivering a reliable and efficient electrical infrastructure that meets industry requirements.

Your new role, what's involved?

  • Electrical Compliance: Conduct thorough inspections and audits to ensure that all electrical installations, equipment, and systems meet the prescribed codes, standards, and specifications. Verify adherence to local regulations, international electrical standards (e.g., NEC, IEC), and project-specific requirements.
  • Quality Control: Perform comprehensive inspections of electrical work, including wiring, lighting, power distribution systems, control panels, and grounding systems. Identify and address any deficiencies, deviations, or non-compliance issues promptly, ensuring adherence to approved designs and industry best practices.
  • Safety Compliance: Evaluate electrical installations for compliance with safety guidelines, including proper grounding, wiring insulation, circuit protection, and fire protection measures. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to minimize electrical hazards and risks to personnel, equipment, and property.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Oversee electrical testing procedures, such as insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, load testing, and circuit integrity verification. Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and technicians to verify the satisfactory performance of electrical systems and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, test results, and compliance documentation. Provide regular progress reports to the project management team, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and suggested improvements.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and designers, to ensure effective communication and coordination of electrical inspections and compliance activities. Address any technical queries, provide guidance on electrical requirements, and facilitate timely resolution of issues.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical works for infrastructure projects.
  • Good experience on final acceptance criteria of the quality of work.
  • Knowledge of inspection test plans and procedures.
  • Work experience with consultants for Inspection of construction activities on site is desirable.
  • Familiar with use of computer languages – Microsoft office and Auto Cad
  • Saudi Arabian ID
