Infrastructure Manager

This role involves overseeing the efficient delivery of key infrastructure assets such as roads, bridges, utilities, drainage systems, and public works. You will collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and governmental agencies to ensure the successful completion of projects that meet quality, safety, cost, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, utilities, and other public works.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
• Assess infrastructure needs and collaborate with stakeholders to align project objectives with organizational goals.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of infrastructure projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
• Oversee construction activities, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure work aligns with project plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any on-site challenges or issues.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including government agencies, clients, and regulatory bodies, to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and to provide project updates.
• Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring that all services are delivered to agreed standards and timelines.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as finance, procurement, and legal to ensure project support and compliance.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Infrastructure Management or a related discipline is a plus.
• Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or a Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
• Additional certification in safety management or environmental sustainability is advantageous.
• 8-10 years of experience in infrastructure or civil engineering project management, with a strong track record of leading large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, utilities, public works).
• Proven experience in managing budgets, resources, and teams in an infrastructure or construction environment.
• Experience working with governmental bodies and regulatory authorities on public infrastructure projects.
