WSP is currently seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Specialist to join our team for the SBF infrastructure project in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental practices within major infrastructure or construction projects. This role will involve working closely with contractors, consultants, and the client to ensure full compliance with local and international HSE standards.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Implement and enforce project-specific HSE policies, procedures, and standards across the site.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure HSE compliance.
• Monitor and track incidents, near-misses, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation of safety systems.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and HSE training sessions.
• Maintain documentation in line with company and client HSE requirements.
• Support incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the HSE Manager and project leadership.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all project teams and stakeholders.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of HSE experience, preferably in infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
• NEBOSH IGC certification (or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of KSA HSE regulations and international safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience with multinational consultancies or PMC firms (e.g., WSP) is an advantage.
• Certified from Saudi Council of Engineers as a health & safety specialist.
• Saudi national is required.
