Key Responsibilities – Financial Controller Position

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process, regular forecasting cycles, and long-term financial planning in close partnership with business unit leaders.
• Accounting Oversight: Supervise all accounting functions, ensuring timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare management reports, board packs, and statutory filings. Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations and internal policies.
• Internal Controls & Audit: Implement, monitor, and enhance robust internal controls across all financial processes. Coordinate external and internal audits, responding to findings and leading remediation efforts.
• Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Monitor cash positions, oversee working capital requirements, and optimize treasury processes to support business operations.
• Business Partnering: Act as a strategic advisor to management, offering commercial insights, margin analysis, and cost optimization recommendations to drive profitability.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve finance systems, automate reporting, and standardize procedures for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
• Team Leadership: Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  
  

Key Skills And Qualifications – Financial Controller (Finance, Accounting, Compliance)

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably in a retail, multi-site, or FMCG environment. Previous experience as a financial controller, finance manager, or similar role is a strong advantage.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is highly beneficial.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP.
