Finance Manager

Company Overview:

We are a venture-backed tech startup based in Saudi Arabia, with a legal entity also in the United States. As we prepare for future growth, we are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team. This role will be pivotal in supporting our financial operations and strategic planning as we transition to the next phase of our business.

Position Overview:

The Financial Manager will assist and report directly to the CFO to assist in managing the company’s financial health and key financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis Support:

• Collaborate with the CFO to develop and implement financial strategies that align with company objectives.
• Assist in creating long-term financial projections and budgets, providing data-driven insights.

2. Daily Accounting & Operational Finance Oversight:

• Assist in overseeing daily accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline operational finance processes and improve efficiency.

3. Tax Compliance Coordination:

• Assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations in Saudi Arabia and the US.
• Support the preparation and filing of necessary tax documents, liaising with external advisors as needed.

4. Risk Assessment Contribution:

• Work alongside the CFO to identify and manage financial risks associated with business operations.
• Help develop internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with overall business strategies.
• Provide financial insights to the executive team, assisting in informed decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant certifications preferred.
• Proven experience in a finance role ideally within a startup or technology environment with exposure to both Saudi Arabian and US financial regulations.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience managing cash flow and capital structure effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools for reporting and analysis.

Type of employment: Full time

Schedule: 8 hours shift, 6 working days/week.

Work location: KAUST Research & Technology Park, Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.

Transportation: Daily shuttles between Jeddah and KAUST are available.
