Wet Utilities Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop plans for wet utility systems, including water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management.
• Perform site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the best placement and design of utility systems.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of wet utilities into overall project designs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field inspections and provide technical support during the construction phase to ensure project specifications are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and installation issues that arise during project execution.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in wet utilities design.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in wet utilities design or a similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
• Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and environmental engineering principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with project management and construction oversight is a plus.
