About this opportunity:
We are now looking for a Field Services Engineer with at least 2 years of solid experience in Ericsson's core network product portfolio. In this role, you will work with Core Network Nodes such as MSC-BC, STP, DRA, HLR, MSS, MGW, CCN, SDP, EPG, and MME. You will identify and rectify system problems according to agreed timing in SLAs, ensuring network availability is at the highest possible level. You'll contribute ideas for improving procedures and routines within the group and department.
The Field Services Engineer is responsible for the Central & East regions of STC, overseeing more than 12 exchanges and data centers. You will interact with customer technical staff, operation managers, and other departments like transmission, BO, FO, and power to maintain smooth network operations. Coordination with Ericsson & STC management will also be key to handling network issues.

Coordination with Ericsson & STC management will also be key to handling network issues.
What you will:
- Ensure smooth operations of STC exchanges in terms of PMRs and CMRs.
- Regularly visit exchanges to confirm backups are properly done and saved.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless network operations.
- Resolve 1st & 2nd Level HW O&M alarms for nodes like CUDB, MSC-BC, MGW, RNC, HSS & HLR-FE.
- Apply OPIs for board replacements in CUDB, BSC, MSC, MGW, RNC, SSR, etc.
- Troubleshoot optical fiber issues, including loop testing, fiber cleaning, and power testing using VFL and power meter.
- Conduct acceptance tests, migrations, and dismantling activities.
- Handle IN/VAS-related hardware activities and ensure smooth operations during OSS outages.
- Support procedures like HRV, redundancy tests for BSC, MSC, and HLR-FE.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in telecommunication engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with Ericsson core network nodes.
- Domain knowledge: Strong understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G core network call flows.
- Technical skills: Experience with Dell and Juniper switches preferred; knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS, or other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Communication skills: Advanced skills for customer interaction and coordination.
- Fluent in written and spoken communication in English.
- Excellent analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, even under pressure.
- Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands.
- Business-minded, self-motivated, and highly proactive.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
- Able to work as part of a team and lead by example.
- Open approach to solving problems and dealing with new proposals.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to handle pressure during emergency conditions.
- Knowledge of Managed Service telecom operations practice.
- Knowledge sharing and collaboration skills.
- Ability to deliver results and meet customer expectations.
- Skills in analyzing, working with people, creating & innovating, and applying expertise & technology.
- Experience with CELLO platform, MO-Shell, FTP, Telnet, and Linux.
