Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Entertainment Ride Specialist to join our Jeddah team! In this role you will be responsible to support the design, construction, and installation of world-class amusement and theme park rides. As a key consultant and technical expert, you will collaborate with engineering, construction, project management, and OEM teams to ensure the successful delivery of safe, innovative, and immersive ride experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide expert guidance during the planning, design, fabrication, and installation of amusement rides and attractions.
• Oversee construction activities related to ride systems, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Evaluate and advise on mechanical, electrical, and control systems for rides.
• Coordinate with ride manufacturers and vendors to ensure ride specifications align with project goals.
• Assist in technical reviews and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
• Ensure designs and construction adhere to applicable codes, regulations (ASTM, EN, ISO, etc.), and safety standards.
• Participate in risk assessments, hazard analyses, and commissioning activities.
• Work closely with architects, civil and MEP engineers, and show-set designers to integrate ride systems with themed environments.
• Act as a liaison between construction teams, ride suppliers, and creative stakeholders.
• Review and approve ride layout drawings, installation manuals, and commissioning documents.
• Provide status updates, technical reports, and issue resolution plans to project leadership.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Theme Park Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in ride system design, construction, or themed entertainment projects.
• Hands-on experience with various ride types (coasters, dark rides, motion simulators, water rides, etc.).
• Strong understanding of ride safety standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent project coordination and stakeholder communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to vendor sites and project locations as needed.

• Ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions
• Willingness to travel or relocate during construction phases
