Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a skilled and strategic professional to join our executive team as Director - Cost Planning (CDU707). In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of cost planning for our ambitious projects, ensuring that financial planning aligns seamlessly with our overarching business objectives. Your expertise will be critical in driving financial discipline and maximizing value across our development portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include setting the strategic direction for cost planning initiatives, managing a high-performing team, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive cost management methodologies that support efficient project execution while mitigating financial risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of cost planning strategies, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's mission and project objectives
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project timelines and deliverables
  • Guide and mentor a team of cost planning professionals to enhance their capabilities and drive professional growth
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on project financial performance, proactively identifying risks and opportunities for cost optimization
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide insights and recommendations on cost-related matters to support strategic decision-making
  • Implement industry best practices in cost planning and financial management to enhance operational efficiency
  • Engage with external stakeholders, such as contractors and consultants, to ensure cost objectives are understood and realized
  • Stay updated on market trends and economic factors that could impact project costs and financial planning


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, construction management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of relative experience in cost planning, financial management, or a related field, with significant leadership experience in large-scale projects
  • Proven track record of managing complex cost planning processes and leading diverse teams effectively
  • Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in cost estimation software, project management tools, and MS Office applications
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, RICS, or similar are highly desirable
  • Experience in the Middle East market and understanding of local economic conditions is advantageous
