WSP in the Middle East is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer/Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) to join our dynamic Building Services Discipline team in Riyadh/Jeddah, KSA.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for Saudi National candidates with a strong educational background and excellent communication and client-facing skills.

As a Design Engineer/Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical or electrical building systems for a variety of projects. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our engineering solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and sustainability.

• Lead and support the design of mechanical or electrical building systems, including HVAC, power, lighting, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality design solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to develop and implement design strategies, schedules, and budgets.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance during design development, reviewing and assessing design solutions for efficiency and compliance with local regulations.
• Ensure that design documentation is accurate, clear, and aligned with project specifications and standards.
• Review and approve designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure they meet both client needs and regulatory standards.
• Manage relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and smooth project delivery.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development and technical skills.

• Saudi National with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Minimum 3-7 years of relevant experience in building services design, particularly within the Mechanical or Electrical engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering building systems, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Strong understanding of local regulations and design codes in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience in client-facing roles and ability to build strong professional relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in using industry-standard software tools for design, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant engineering simulation software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design projects and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
