Daily hotel operations across Barceló Hotel Group´s Saudi Arabia hotels to achieve planned goals in keeping with all corporate and brand standards whilst achieving optimal guest satisfaction and a good working environment to attain all set objectives. To achieve this, the Hotel General Manager should run the hotel in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Values as set out Barceló Group. The Cluster General Manager shall see to the implementation of optimal and attractive products and services required to address the hotel’s target groups, based on pre-agreed marketing plans and budgets.
Job Description
- Management of property.
- Development of an operational strategy that is aligned with the brand's business strategy and lead its execution. Work with the team to put sustainable work processes and systems in place that support the execution of the strategy.
- Work in unison with HQ and ownership to develop the overall hotel strategy to maximise guest satisfaction, staff satisfaction and financial performance.
- Identify and analyse operational challenges and facilitate the development of solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Continuously review staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
- Ensure full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOP's, policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with neighbours, vendors, and hospitality competitors.
- Lead all key property matters, including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
- Take insight into procurement processes for operating supplies and equipment and contracting with third party vendors for essential equipment and services.
- Ensure complete compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other applicable legislation's, ensuring good safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper crisis and security procedures.
- Establishes and maintains applicable preventive maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel.
- Implement the SOPs optimally in the hotel and act as a flag ship establishment for the brand.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in the executive management of operations, sales and marketing, food and beverage or related professional area of luxury hospitality.
- Is entrepreneurial, driven and motivating. A leader who has experience inspiring guest service.
- Displays strong, hands-on management skills; thrives in customer interactions.
- Responsible of the overall operation of the hotel to maximize performance, profitability and return on investment.
- Thinks critically and objectively; has excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions based on business demands.
- Understands and interprets hotel financial reports; generates and analyses budgets and extended reports.
- Has a passion for hospitality, demonstrated by a progressive career.
