Description

A Inspection Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of welded structures and components. Their key duties typically include:

• Inspecting welds to verify compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Reviewing welding procedures and ensuring proper implementation.
• Conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) to detect defects or inconsistencies.
• Monitoring welding processes to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Preparing inspection reports and documenting findings.
• Collaborating with engineers and welders to resolve welding-related issues..

This role requires expertise in welding techniques, materials, and industry codes such as AWS, ASME, and ISO standards. Certifications like CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) or CSWIP are often preferred.
