Associate Director - Commercial Management

The project:

This project offers the chance to join a talented Mace team in delivering a major entertainment and luxury hospitality project, collaborating with renowned architects and global consultants. The project involves extensive infrastructure and built assets, delivered rapidly through a hands-on construction management approach, ideal for those experienced in managing both main and sub-contract packages.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Provides commercial leadership for specific areas of work and direction to team members
• Hands-on end to end commercial role, from onboarding contractors to site to leading contract administration, execution and commercial management
• Manages a commercial team to achieve commercial KPIs and drive continuous improvement
• Oversees cost control, valuations, and monthly post-contract reporting
• Handles post-contract management, package management and commercial performance
• Evaluates claims, delays and additional costs from contractors and subcontractors
• Directly interacts with clients, contractors and subcontractors to ensure delivery
• Apply expertise in FIDIC contracts and payment mechanisms for post-contract management
• Actively contributing to net-zero carbon goals by identifying, managing and reducing emissions throughout project delivery

• Degree in quantity surveying / commercial management (or equivalent)
• Professional membership i.e. MRICS (or equivalent)
• Major project experience is essential
• Main Contractor experience £250+
• Consultancy experience £1bn+
