Junior Automation Specialist
Tech Pipeline
Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Dammam
Contract type: Full time
Remote
Tech Pipeline helps operations teams fix the broken middle of their business processes by focusing on technical reality instead of abstract strategy. We are currently supporting a regional industrial leader to clean up data friction and manual handoffs that are slowing down their growth. As a Junior Automation Specialist, you will help us identify where information is getting stuck and help build the practical fixes that allow these teams to move forward.
About the role
In this role, you will be digging into the specific ways data moves between different software platforms. Companies reach out to us when their tools no longer match the way their teams actually work. You will spend your time looking at how information flows from one department to another, specifically looking for the places where people are still forced to do manual data entry or send approval requests through email chains. This is a fully remote position that requires a focus on ground truth: looking at the actual logs and configurations rather than relying on high level assumptions. You will help bridge the gap between existing tools and the actual tasks that need to get done, ensuring that the systems we hand over are simple enough for the client to run on their own.
What you will be doing
Working at Tech Pipeline means focusing on what is actually happening in the system rather than what looks good on a slide deck. We rely heavily on weekly updates and written documentation to keep everyone informed, which allows our team members to work independently and remotely without the friction of a traditional office. We do not stay with clients forever: we fix the problem, make sure the new systems are stable, and then hand over the keys. This requires our team to be disciplined about how they build and document their work so that the transition is always smooth. If you enjoy solving practical puzzles and making technical systems work more reliably for the people who use them, you will fit in well here.

What you will be doing
- Reviewing daily system logs to identify where automated triggers are failing or timing out.
- Building and testing routing rules to ensure data reaches the correct destination without manual intervention.
- Updating technical documentation and standard operating procedures to reflect changes in the workflow.
- Assisting with the monthly reconciliation of data between operations and finance systems to ensure the numbers match.
- Monitoring active pipelines during the first few weeks of live operation to catch and fix errors as they happen.
- Identifying specific integration gaps that cause backlogs in the client's reaching their daily targets.
- Drafting clear, concise status updates that explain technical fixes to the people who use the systems every day.
- Mapping out current manual processes to help the team decide which steps are ready for automation.
- A logical mindset and the ability to follow a piece of data through a complex process.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when checking for small errors in logs or spreadsheets.
- Basic familiarity with how different software applications communicate with each other.
- Comfort working in a remote environment where most coordination happens through writing and documentation.
- The ability to explain how a technical rule works in plain, simple English.
- A willingness to spend time untangling messy files and fixing broken configurations.
- Reliable time management skills to handle tasks without needing constant oversight.
- Any experience with no-code automation tools or basic scripting logic.
- Previous work in a customer support or operations role where you had to solve technical problems for users.
- Exposure to business software such as inventory management systems or basic databases.
- Permanent, full-time employment within a stable and growing technical field.
- Competitive pay that is attractive for junior specialists in the current market.
- A fully remote work arrangement that allows you to work from your own environment.
- Practical experience working on real world problems for a regional industrial leader.
- A work culture that prioritizes deep focus and clear documentation over excessive meetings.
- The chance to see the immediate results of your work as manual backlogs start to clear.
