Job Description:

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for the Media & Entertainment Group is a visionary and strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth across all business units within the organization. This role demands an expert in market analysis, positioning, and leveraging data analytics to develop forward-thinking sales strategies in response to the dynamic media landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of innovative revenue streams, including digital media, advertising, subscriptions, and content monetization. As a member of the executive leadership team, the CRO will collaborate with cross-functional departments such as marketing, finance, and product development to ensure alignment with the organization’s overarching strategic goals. This role reports directly to the CEO and requires an adept leader who can inspire and motivate a diverse sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving results through exceptional stakeholder engagement.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in revenue generation roles, with at least 10 years in senior leadership positions within the Media & Entertainment sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing complex revenue strategies that have led to significant audience and revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-channel revenue streams, including but not limited to advertising sales, subscription services, and partnership development.
  • Expertise in market research methodologies and competitive analysis, with a focus on leveraging data to inform decisions and optimize revenue opportunities.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to assess, forecast, and manage budgets effectively to maximize profitability.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a history of closing high-stakes deals and partnerships that align with corporate strategy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience of stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and cultivate relationships with key external partners, media executives, and other stakeholders to enhance business development efforts.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and mentoring large teams, fostering talent, and driving team engagement.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing trends and emerging technologies within the Media & Entertainment landscape.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue strategy aligned with the organization’s vision and goals, focusing on sustainable growth.
  • Identify and leverage new market opportunities and innovative revenue streams while continuously analyzing industry trends and competitive positioning.
  • Lead the sales and marketing teams in creating compelling value propositions for key products and services, ensuring alignment with market demand.
  • Oversee business development efforts, including partnership identification, negotiation, and execution to enhance corporate revenue models.
  • Foster a collaborative environment across departments, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making and guide revenue initiatives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure revenue performance, and utilize these insights to make informed strategic adjustments.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performance sales leadership team, driving accountability for revenue targets and cultivating a winning team culture.
  • Engage with C-level executives within partner organizations to foster strategic alliances that drive business growth and innovation.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and media forums, establishing thought leadership and enhancing corporate reputation.
  • Prepare regular reports and strategic updates for the executive team and board of directors, articulating revenue performance, challenges, and opportunities.
