Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Welfare Manager to join our team! The Welfare Manager assists the Director of Safety/Quality Assurance in the establishment, implementation, and supervision of workplace welfare and safety programs. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring employee well-being, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The Welfare Manager monitors safety performance, conducts inspections, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to promote a safe and supportive work environment.

Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Welfare Manager to join our team! The Welfare Manager assists the Director of Safety/Quality Assurance in the establishment, implementation, and supervision of workplace welfare and safety programs. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring employee well-being, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The Welfare Manager monitors safety performance, conducts inspections, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to promote a safe and supportive work environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist the Director of Safety/Quality Assurance in establishing and managing job safety programs.
- Supervise welfare and safety programs to identify and control hazards to employees and property.
- Represent the organization in all welfare and safety matters, both internally and externally.
- Monitor program safety performance and conduct regular facility safety inspections and audits.
- Perform safety functions within the scope of the welfare and safety program.
- Conduct accident record analysis and issue periodic reports on safety performance.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and welfare regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Develop and implement employee well-being initiatives, including stress management and work-life balance programs.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on welfare-related matters and serve as a point of contact for well-being concerns.
- Work closely with HR, HSE, and senior management to enhance workplace welfare and engagement.
- Conduct safety audits by reviewing and analyzing safety records and facility inspections.
- Maintain compliance with SHARP Management safety standards and procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Human Resources, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience in workplace safety and welfare may be considered.
- Certifications in well-being, occupational health, or mental health (e.g., NEBOSH, Mental Health First Aid) are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of workplace welfare, occupational health, and safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing safety data and identifying risks.
- Ability to supervise and implement employee well-being programs effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR, HSE, and leadership teams.
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making.
