Job Purpose
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.
BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.
Responsible to the Departmental Director for coordination and resolution of all Al Jawf Class, Mine Hunter, Weapon, Electronic Sensor and Command System technical issues.

Job Accountabilities
- Assist with the production of RSNF Requirements and Specifications for future modifications, reviews and propose amendments to the subsequent Work Package from the contractor
- Ensure projects consider the appropriate Munitions Explosives Safety and Qualifications processes
- Oversee acceptance and commissioning of equipment /systems as required.
- Compile Engineering briefs for RSNF Officers
- Lead Level 4 technical meetings and contribute to Level 3 technical meetings as a Subject matter Expert (SME). Attend other meetings and liaise with other Directorates of the RSNF, as required.
Essential
- Educated to degree level in Engineering or equivalent professional engineering qualification or a combination of training, experience and BTEC National Certification in Engineering which provides an equivalent educational standard.
- In depth knowledge of Weapon, Electronic Sensor and Command Systems
- Mine Hunter Engineering experience
- Experience in the various stages of Engineering through life support and equipment Life Cycle Management
- Experience of Engineering Safety and Workplace Health & Safety.
- Knowledge of Single Role Mine Hunter operations
- Knowledge of Munitions Explosives Safety and Qualification processes
- Knowledge of ITAR
