Vendor Management Specialist

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Vendor Management Specialist to Support vendor due diligence, assess and maintain vendor data, manage performance, and develop long-term supplier strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contributing and supporting the vendor due diligence requirements as part of the wider onboarding process, inclusive of onsite vendor visits and review of external database tools
• Regular assessment of the Vendor List to ensure vendor information and assessments are re-validated when required
• Working with the various business units, and management to understand future demand requirements and agree on a long-term supplier strategy
• Assisting with managing vendor performance across the Purchasing life-cycle via reporting mechanisms
• Updating and maintaining vendor management data in Oracle/SAP.
• Organizing and coordinating Vendor meetings and preparation meetings.
• Monitoring Vendor service level performance, establishing and maintaining Vendor Matrix.
• Produce management reports (highlighting key Supplier performance, including coordinating Vendor scorecards).
• Establish Strategic and corporate level vendor relationships and engagement plan

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in a project/company of a similar size and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related fields.
• Significant procurement/Category Management experience across Categories within a large organization
• Risk-based approach to Vendor management and development activities.
• Demonstrated experience in developing effective category and procurement strategies,
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different levels
• Excellent risk analysis skills
• Agile and Structured approach to process development and improvement
• SAP Ariba/ S4 Hana experience will be highly regarded
