Job Purpose:



Supervises the operations of the section to ensure the acquisition, qualification, and ongoing management of vendors align with organizational needs, standards, and goals, fostering efficient and effective vendor relationships

Job Responsibilitie


  • s:
    Develop the section’s operational plans in alignment with the Department’s operations plan and cascaded targets and identify the budget, annual manpower needs, and projects that are required to achieve these pl
  • ans.Develop suitable policies and procedures for the section and periodically monitor their application and effectiven
  • ess.Oversee, supervise, and enable direct subordinates to ensure they are able to perform their assigned responsibilit
  • ies.Oversee activities related to recruitment, training and development, performance management, succession planning, and promotions of employees within the sect
  • ion.Align periodically with the section’s team and monitor their performance against operational and strategic objectives and K
  • PIs.Develop and implement criteria for vendor qualification, assessing factors such as financial stability, reputation, and adherence to quality standa
  • rds.Contribute in negotiating contractual terms and conditions with vendors, including pricing structures, service level agreements (SLAs), and compliance requireme
  • nts.Conduct risk assessments of potential vendors, evaluating factors such as geopolitical risks, supply chain vulnerabilities, and financial stabil
  • ity.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLAs, regularly evaluating vendor performance against agreed-upon metr
  • ics.Facilitate the onboarding process for new vendors, providing necessary documentation, training, and integration with internal syst
  • ems.Address conflicts and disputes with vendors in a timely and diplomatic manner, working to find resolutions that benefit both part
  • ies.Conduct periodic audits of vendor operations to ensure adherence to contractual terms, quality standards, and ethical practi
  • ces.Maintain comprehensive documentation of vendor relationships, transactions, and performance, generating regular reports for managem
  • ent.Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as procurement, finance, and operations teams, to align vendor management strategies with overall business objecti
