Job Title: Manufacturing Continues Improvement Manager
Function: Manufacturing
Department: Gen. Manufacturing
Reports to: Manufacturing Director
Purpose of the job
Developing and driving the continuous improvement (CI) program and roadmap across the SADAFCO Manufacturing facilities. This implies identifying and orchestrating CI initiatives that can be part of this program. These initiatives are managed and realized according to standardized methodologies whilst enhancing manufacturing operational safety, quality and service levels with the objective to increase efficiency and drive costs down (Do more with Less).
Key Accountabilities
- Spread the world class manufacturing (WCM) methodology, concepts, and policies, aiming at lean, agile and cost-effective operations.
- Establish norms and standards of manufacturing performance and oversee the implementation of the manufacturing operating system (OS).
- Review, update, document and communicate SADAFCO OS with all stakeholders.
- Analyze, maintain, and improve manufacturing performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety and reduce costs.
- Work together with factories teams to gather data, improve and digitalize reporting, analyze & map processes, implementing lean and six sigma philosophy and tools.
- Lead problem solving and improvement projects.
- Facilitate process improvement events (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, PDCA, Lean Manufacturing).
- Develop and implement metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
- Coach and mentor team members on Lean, Six Sigma and CI methodologies and drive a culture of CI throughout manufacturing in line with SADAFCO culture and values.
- Prepare the manufacturing KPIs in line with Manufacturing Priorities and cascade KPIs to all manufacturing sites.
- Communicate progress and results with stakeholders (Line and Factory Manager, Manufacturing Director, Quality Director etc.) and prepare relevant reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
- Develop CI team and succession plans (6σYellow & Green Belts, CI Supervisors).
Job Requirements / Competences
- Educational level: Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a must.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strategic and Analytical mindset.
- Minimal Experience: 10+ years in a CI or process improvement role.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, WCM and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and leading process improvement projects.
- FMCG experience is a must, preferably in the Food Industry.
- Excellent leadership & communication skills, ability to influence and drive change at all manufacturing levels.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Proficient in English, Arabic is a plus.
