Job Overview
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Thru Tubing Field Specialist III is responsible for executing and supervising intervention operations involving thru-tubing tools, snubbing, coiled tubing, and inflatable packer/bridge plug services. The role includes both field-based operations and office-based technical planning, ensuring safe, efficient, and technically sound job execution while mentoring junior staff and supporting client requirements.
Responsibilities
Supervise and perform thru-tubing operations offshore and onshore.
Provide technical support for pre-job planning and proposals.
Lead operations involving coiled tubing, snubbing, and inflatable packers.
Prepare client presentations and support sales activities.
Conduct risk assessments and follow safety protocols during operations.
Assemble, disassemble, and maintain TT tools and BHA components.
Record accurate measurements and configuration data for all jobs.
Use WFT software systems for job planning and reporting (WPTS, TT calculators).
Mentor SS1s & SS2s and support their competency development.
Attend pre/post job meetings, ensure documentation is completed and submitted.
Drive independently to job sites with equipment as needed.
Skills
Advanced knowledge of TT tool operations with coiled tubing and jointed pipe
Hands-on Experience In
Snubbing operations
Inflatable packer/bridge plug deployment
Coiled tubing-based interventions
Strong mechanical aptitude and tool assembly skills
Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Proficient in risk assessment, safety compliance, and client interaction
Capable of working independently under pressure and meeting deadlines
Advanced computer literacy and technical report writing
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in well intervention and thru-tubing services
Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical certification
Valid driving license and ability to travel across KSA (up to 75%)
Familiarity with WFT digital systems and reporting tools
Strong understanding of flow-operated and hydraulically operated downhole tools
