Job Purpose:

Maintains plant in a good condition to enable efficient production operability with minimum maintenance interruption. Carries out skilled trouble shooting, repair and preventative maintenance work, on site or in workshop, on a range of electrical equipment and systems. Traces faults, carries out repairs on site, and undertake workshop testing overhaul and repair.

Key Accountabilities

  • Performs maintenance checks at specified intervals to ensure quality of work and jobs carried out as per required standard.
  • Receives instruction/s from Manager/ Supervisor/ Engineer, Plan & carry out for the day as per instruction. As per priority of job secure work permits, carry out job and follow till successful completion. Reports supervisor/ Engineer about job progress and completion.
  • Refers drawings and instruction manual for work instruction, specification, and proper selection of materials.
  • Identifies spare parts & consumables for the job and arrange to collect them from Warehouse.
  • Arrange all tools & tackles required for the job and ensures they are in good condition.
  • Carried out plant patrols to identify noise/ high vibration. Ensures that safety and good housekeeping rules and regulations are observed. All SHEM standards will be followed & implemented.
  • Assists in other similar or related duties such as preparing daily activity report, SAP system entry, documentation etc.
  • Completion of the JQP & other assigned training on time.
  • Reporting of near misses as observed and participates in all safety & environment related activities.
  • Preparing and assembling the electrical equipment in accordance to drawings, parts lists, manuals and configurations provided by Tool Customizer.
  • Checking all equipment for completeness and correct function, in order to ensure that the equipment fulfill the job requirements as specified.
  • Documenting assembled equipment in Company software databases and reporting documentation problems.
  • Supporting site personnel in electrical matters.
  • Carrying out all activities in accordance with the Company Quality & HSE guidelines and instructions.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Electrical with 2 years of experience in related equipment maintenance in Petrochemical industry.

Minimum Experience:

  • Electrical equipment fault diagnosis, breakdown repair, and preventative maintenance and overhaul work.
  • Knowledge of Trouble shooting of electrical equipment's.
  • Knowledge of Materials, Tools & Tackles.

Job Specific Skills:

knowledge of using test equipment’s and tools.
