About The Role

In the capacity of Technical Principal for the Water sector, you will lead and manage the Water Sector’sdiscipline resources efficiently, effectively and proactively across all phases of projects to ensure safe,operable and economic design. The role will focus on developing and building on the current team whilstalso looking to develop existing and new opportunities.

As well as being a technical leader in the field you will demonstrate strong strategic and commercialacumen, with a focus on delivery of excellence and an ability to develop high profile relationships. You willhave significant experience in planning, design and development of discipline services, covering the full spectrum project types.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Responsible for the monitoring, allocating and controlling discipline resources in a timely mannerto ensure project schedule and deliverable issue dates are met.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership in the discipline and a focal point for internal & externalstakeholders to liaise with.
  • Act as the KSA Water Team Leader, collaborating with the UAE Water Team Leader building acohesive unit delivery team and managing Regional both BD and project delivery in support ofthe Regional Sector Lead.
  • Responsible for engaging with the wider Unit water team and where appropriate engaging andsupporting the development of a team in the Global Delivery Centre.
  • Ensure that the highest standards of HSE, BMS, STEP and quality processes and proceduresare always followed and adhered to
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the market, help capture new opportunities, direct thebid process liaising with development teams and relevant location Divisional General Managersto ensure we produce powerful, attractive, compliant and competitive proposals
  • Participate and contribute to the effectiveness of the Unit’s Practice network

Candidate Specifications

  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline preferably professional chartered status
  • Extensive years of experience and significant experience operating at this level
  • Recognition within the industry as an innovator and technical leader
  • Proven track record in growing and developing a regional team
  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills at an Executive level
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
  • Previous experience in managing and delivering technical excellence into significant projects, understanding and managing budgets, resources and a strong commercial acumen
  • Middle East experience is required
