Duties And Responsibilities

  • Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department.
  • Carries out full range of clinical duties as assigned by the Director of Radiodiagnostics & Medical Imaging in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of high standards of diagnostics examinations.
  • Responsible for the implementation of radiation protection procedures.
  • Responsible for consultation with medical staff on the radiological investigation of their patients in order to decide whether any examination requested is appropriate or necessary.
  • Rotates through each imaging sub-specialty as required by the Director of Radiodiagnostics & Medical Imaging and is expected to have sufficient breadth of training to undertake this rotation.
  • Will be required to attend all departmental meetings.
  • Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department.
  • Teaches staff assigned for training purposes, and participates with the Director of Radiodiagnostics & Medical Imaging planning a programme career development for trainees.
  • Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality Management Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable.
  • Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education.
  • Participate in the forward planning, and further development of the department.
  • Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.
  • Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness.

  • Self-motivated and with awareness of current trends in the field.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to speak, write and read Arabic and English.
  • At least 5 years experience in reporting PET-CT IMAGE

Education

Graduate from a recognized medical school. Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in Radiology. Master Degree in Nuclear Medicine
