Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technical Director to lead the delivery of a major Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) program in Riyadh.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure in one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering large-scale ITS or infrastructure programs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the delivery of a major ITS program, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and integration of ITS technologies, including traffic management systems, smart mobility solutions, and connected infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and external vendors.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and consultants, to ensure program objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
• Ensure compliance with international ITS standards, local regulations, and best practices.
• Drive innovation and identify opportunities to incorporate emerging technologies into the program.
• Monitor program performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• A minimum of 20 years of experience in ITS, transportation infrastructure, or related fields, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in delivering large-scale ITS programs or similar complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of ITS technologies, including traffic management systems, sensors, communications, and smart mobility solutions.
• Exceptional project management skills, with experience managing budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with government agencies and private sector partners.
• Familiarity with international ITS standards and best practice.

• International experience and experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
