- General survey procedure using Leica TC 1800, or equivalent systems, one-second theodolites, short and medium range electronic distance meters, such as Wild DI 3000, or equivalent distance measuring equipment and GPS systems such as Leica SR530, Trimble 4800 series, Kinematics and real time kinematics GPS;
- Methods of electronic/manual recording, downloading and transforming
- Evaluation of data for acceptance;
- Principles of digital/automatic leveling with digital levels systems such as Leica NA 3003;
- Adjusting field procedures to suit local environmental conditions;
- Safety procedures when surveying in traffic conditions;
- General survey mathematics
