Job Overview:
The System Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, securing, and maintaining HAACO’s computer systems, ERPs, and servers to support all business units (BUs), support units (SUs), and subsidiaries as required by top management. This role ensures system reliability, scalability, and security by proactively monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing updates.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure technology systems run smoothly and employees have a stable, secure, and efficient digital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Administration & Support
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, servers, and peripherals for daily operations.
- Provide end-user support, including on-call and after-hours assistance, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and security permissions in line with company policies.
- Maintain software inventories, monitor license usage, and ensure compliance with licensing agreements (including ERPs and Microsoft).
Applications & Software Management
- Apply patches, upgrades, and version control to systems and applications, including APIs and plugins.
- Conduct system and user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage test environments for critical applications.
- Continuously optimize and enhance applications to meet organizational needs.
Infrastructure & Security
- Administer, monitor, and maintain IT infrastructure health, proactively resolving issues.
- Implement upgrades and integrations with other systems.
- Manage data backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
- Implement IT security standards and policies to protect systems and data.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT infrastructure and application projects on time.
- Recommend and implement technology enhancements to support business growth.
- Support the implementation of service-level agreements (SLAs) for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to positioning the department to deliver IT services commercially.
Knowledge Management & Training
- Deliver user training and create up-to-date documentation, including guides, procedures, and knowledge bases.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation such as diagrams, configurations, and records.
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks or assignments as directed by the direct manager.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in systems administration and support.
- Experience with Microsoft licensing and Odoo ERP.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Solid understanding of ERPs and IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with virtualization and cloud technologies.
- Customer service orientation and vendor management skills.
- Working knowledge of GitHub and version control.
