Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Structural Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of our construction projects throughout the region.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of structural elements in various construction projects to ensure compliance with contract documents, local building codes, and safety standards
  • Review and interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Perform on-site supervision and quality control checks, documenting observations, measurements, and test results
  • Monitor contractor activities, manpower, and equipment usage on a daily basis
  • Coordinate with other teams to verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractors
  • Process incoming inspection requests and technical submittals efficiently
  • Prepare detailed reports on structural integrity, potential issues, and recommended solutions
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety measures on construction sites
  • Conduct site measurements and surveying checks as required
  • Collaborate with the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer to address any structural concerns or deviations from plans
  • Stay updated on the latest structural inspection techniques, building codes, and industry best practices

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Engineering (required), preferably in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy, focusing on structural inspection
  • Extensive knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction methods, and materials
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance procedures in construction
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia
  • Experience with site supervision, inspection techniques, and documentation practices
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for structural inspection and reporting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Willingness to work on-site in various weather conditions and adhere to safety protocols
  • Valid certification in structural inspection or related field (preferred)
