Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Stakeholder - Airport Operations Liaison Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to ensure seamless communication, coordination, and integration between the project teams and airport operations.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of airport operations, regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and emergency procedures, and will excel at managing relationships with key airport stakeholders. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of the project while minimizing disruption to airport operations.

What You'll be Doing;

• Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and airport operations teams, including airport management, security, and ground services.
• Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings and communication between project teams and airport stakeholders to ensure alignment on operational requirements, timelines, and safety measures.
• Ensure that all project activities, including construction, system integration, and testing, are fully aligned with airport operations and do not disrupt daily airport activities.
• Ensure that all activities related to airport operations adhere to national and international aviation safety standards, local regulations, and airport-specific procedures (e.g., ICAO, FAA, or equivalent).
• Work closely with airport operations and regulatory authorities to ensure the project meets compliance requirements for safety, security, and environmental impact.
• Oversee the integration of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and security measures into the project to meet airport regulations.
• Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with key airport stakeholders, including airport operations teams, security, ground services, and relevant governmental authorities.
• Act as the main point of contact for airport operations teams, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders.
• Ensure the project is consistently communicated to airport stakeholders, keeping them updated on progress, changes, and potential impacts on airport operations.
• Lead the coordination of operational readiness activities, including the testing, commissioning, and handover of systems and facilities to airport operations.
• Work closely with various teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems, technologies, or facilities into existing airport operations.
• Ensure that all necessary training for airport staff, security personnel, and other operational teams is conducted as part of the transition.
• Collaborate with airport operations to develop, review, and integrate emergency response plans for the project, ensuring alignment with airport-wide safety and security procedures.
• Ensure that any changes to the project that may impact emergency procedures or business continuity are communicated to relevant airport departments in a timely manner.
• Lead the coordination of emergency drills and simulation exercises involving airport operations, ensuring effective participation from all relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of all airport operations liaison activities, including meeting minutes, stakeholder correspondence, and compliance documentation.
• Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to senior management and airport stakeholders, ensuring that all operations-related milestones are met.
• Document key decisions, challenges, and risks related to airport operations and communicate them effectively to management and stakeholders.
• Support the project teams in coordinating logistics and ensuring that any activities affecting airport operations are carefully planned and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
• Work with airport operations to manage airport-specific logistics, such as airfield operations, terminal operations, and ground transportation, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with construction, design, and engineering teams to ensure that activities are aligned with operational workflows.
• Oversee quality assurance processes for all aspects of the project that intersect with airport operations, ensuring that all systems meet the highest operational standards.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in operational processes, procedures, and safety protocols, implementing changes as needed.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management and airport operations integration strategies.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring;

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in airport operations, project management, or stakeholder liaison roles, preferably with experience in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects at airports.
• Proven experience working with airport operations teams and understanding of airport safety, security, and operational procedures.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards, including ICAO, FAA, or equivalent regional standards.
• In-depth knowledge of airport operations, airfield management, terminal operations, and ground services
• Strong understanding of aviation safety, security, and emergency response protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, with experience managing complex project timelines and coordinating between multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with airport-specific management systems.
• Ability to negotiate, influence, and build consensus among various stakeholders.
• Professional certifications in Aviation Management or Airport Operations (e.g., ACI, IATA).
• Experience in large-scale construction projects or system integration projects within an airport environment.
• Knowledge of sustainable airport technologies and practices.
• Experience with incident management, emergency response, and continuity planning for airport operations.
