Role Objective:
To assist in the design, engineering coordination, and technical support of projects within the Engineering department, with a specific focus on industrial and commercial facilities, data center projects, and Design & Build EPC environments, ensuring in-depth knowledge and application of MEP materials and systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret MEP design drawings, specifications, and project documents; ensure their alignment with project scope and client requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, architectural, structural, and other services) to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
- Support the engineering team in design validation, value engineering, and shop drawing preparation for MEP installations.
- Evaluate and select appropriate MEP materials based on project specifications, technical data, durability, and compliance with standards.
- Prepare technical submittals for materials, equipment, and systems; ensure timely approval from consultants and clients.
- Assist in preparing RFIs, resolving technical queries, and addressing discrepancies between design and site conditions.
- Ensure MEP designs meet the specific operational requirements of industrial, commercial buildings, and data centers, including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, BMS, and plumbing systems.
- Liaise with procurement and vendors to confirm technical compliance of selected MEP materials and systems.
- Conduct technical meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve design-related issues and ensure project continuity.
- Participate in site inspections, commissioning, and testing of MEP systems to ensure functional and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update as-built drawings reflecting actual installations and changes on site.
- Support in the development of project-specific MEP engineering standards, guidelines, and libraries based on lessons learned and best practices.
Educational & Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in Technical Project Engineering within industrial, commercial facility, or data center projects, ideally under Design & Build EPC contracts.
- Deep technical knowledge of MEP systems and materials is essential.
Technical & Behavioral Skills:
- Proficient in HAP, AutoCAD, REVIT, and general computer applications.
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).
