Job Purpose
To support product development activities by assessing designs, ensuring manufacturability, and facilitating the transition from engineering concepts to production, in alignment with technical specifications, quality standards, and development plans.
Key Accountability AreasProduct Transition and Assessment
- Coordinate with R&D teams to collect validated design files and supporting documentation.
- Review type-tested designs and identify improvement opportunities based on applicable specifications.
- Assist in preparing development timelines and follow structured plans using designated tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Follow the development lifecycle from prototyping to pilot production and support proper handover to manufacturing.
Design Review and Compliance
- Participate in design reviews and verify adherence to technical specifications and standards.
- Examine drawings and documentation to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Align product designs with DFM principles to support production readiness.
Engineering Collaboration
- Provide technical input during interdepartmental discussions involving engineering, production, quality, and supply chain.
- Share knowledge and collaborate with QA/QC teams to ensure conformity with internal and external quality standards.
- Contribute to resolving product or process issues during design transfer phases.
Documentation and Support
- Maintain detailed records of technical changes, design iterations, and version controls.
- Create and update development documentation according to internal factory protocols.
- Respond to documentation needs raised by manufacturing and quality teams.
Team Contribution and Knowledge Sharing
- Share best practices with team members and provide informal technical guidance.
- Review the work of less experienced engineers to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Participate in continuous learning activities and knowledge-sharing initiatives

- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Health, Safety and Environment:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
