Project Overview
Spanning over 14 million square meters of land, the New Murabba development is planned as a premier modern downtown destination in Riyadh. It is envisioned to deliver an exceptional blend of leisure, retail, entertainment and residential experiences, while supporting the Royal Commission for Riyadh City’s goal of establishing Riyadh among the world’s top ten cities. The project aligns with key priorities such as economic growth fostering advancements in technology, innovation and creativity. Bechtel’s role at the New Murabba development is Early Works, Infrastructure and Public Realm. The Early Works involves the initial set up on the project, from fencing, offices to logistics and construction indirect. The infrastructure work covers earthworks, expressways, roads, metro, power, water, sewage, district cooling, irrigation, automated waste collection, telecommunications and all other utilities required for the city to function smoothly. As for the expansive areas of Public Realm, it’s inclusive of all the landscaping, hardscaping, water features, lighting and public art.
Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for managing, analysis and control activities for projects budget and coat with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends / changes, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.
Major Responsibilities
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Major Responsibilities
- Coordinates the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports
- Provide cost Accruals to finance
- Support in developing area specific or overall progress dashboard
- Participate and coordinates the development and accuracy of cost reports
- Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency
- Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures and based on the validated estimates issued by the cost consultant
- Investigates the requirements for estimating and/or cost control data
- Collects and classifies cost data
- Performs budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines
- Identifies cost trends for management attention. Coordinate, fill and check the change slides in advance of the New Murabba change board meeting
- Prepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons
- Good knowledge with the cost estimating and UR analysis activities.
- Review, when applicable, estimate provide by the cost Consultant
- Knowledge in PFSR and CFAR report is preferred but not mandatory

Required Knowledge And Skills
- Cost controls, change and budget management.
- Knowledge of reporting and organize his thought.
- Basic Knowledge with commercial related activities.
- Power BI knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
- Direct client Interaction.
- Able to discuss, interact, persuade, when applicable, with 3rd party consultants such as cost consultant and construction supervision consultant.
