General Summary:

The Specialist - Procurement (Procurement Administrator) role is responsible for managing systems and processes required in the Qiddiya procurement process, including the purchasing of goods and services required for the development and maintenance of public infrastructure projects. This role ensures that procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with Qiddiya policies and legal guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational objectives
• Conduct research on potential vendors and suppliers, evaluating them based on price, quality, and delivery speed
• Prepare and manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, service orders and contracts, maintaining detailed records of procurement activities
• Liaise with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and monitor their compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper communication and understanding of procurement needs and specifications
• Administer procurement processes prior to procurement commencement, including contacting suppliers for information, setting them up on systems including SAP Ariba
• Setup and administer tender packages on procurement systems
• Administer procurement processes during active procurements, including collation and distribution of tender clarifications and queries
• Track procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Resolve issues with suppliers and vendors regarding shipment delays or quality lapses
• Administer procurement software or systems to streamline procurement processes
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance mandates affecting procurement
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
• In-depth knowledge of Procurement processes, and its practical application.
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing business requirements.
• Effectively manages and prioritizes workload and delivers to tight deadlines.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal skills in English.
• Assist the team to deliver results in line with objectives and KPI's.
• Demonstrate proficient use of Procurement software, such as Prism, SAP, and Ariba.
• Ability to liaise effectively and professionally with internal teams and external vendors
• Knowledge of local market and ability to speak Arabic would be helpful
